Here at Russian Bear Kennels, we work to preserve and promote the black russian terrier to the best of our abilities. These are not a breed for the masses but they are a breed for the discerning, who are willing to adopt a new member into the family - not just "purchase" a pet.
Owning a brt is a lifelong commitment on both your and your brts part. They will give you undivided attention, undemanding love and unbelievable devotion. They will pour their heart and soul into your safety and protection and ask only that you keep them close to you always. They are also addictive - you can never own just one!!

Just found out that Lebedushka Chiornyy Prints (aka Lara) got a 5 point major on Sat in Elgin, Ill - there were 6 females

there was a large turnout and participation at a recent show last week in Ukraine - our new boy Brilliant was well represented by a daughter in Jr Class

Not sure who all was there yet but I heard that Boris (FKA Russian Bears Cronus the Bold Ruler and AKA Over the Moon about Borislav) took Best of Breed and that Kasimer (Russian Bears Bonus for Bytework) took Reserve Winners but not sure who was there yet - Catalog says 7 BRTs so congrats!!
On a lighter note - Amanda took Lady (RBK Bezuprechnaya Lady ) to the weight pulling offered and said Lady did really well for her first try - and the next 7!!

Leave it to Florida to have a tropical storm like Fay. It has bounced around the state like a ping pong ball and we finally figured out why - it had to wait for Missys Birthday to really congratulate her!! - some might know we have been hit several times by this storm (came ashore south of Tampa, went up the middle by us, hit the east coast and then jacksonville, ping ponged back southwest to Gainesville now is boomerranging off the west coast just north of us - trees down, flooding of course, roofs off and electricity and cable and internet connections spotty - it has been a fun day!! and a whirlwind - just like Missy!! next time you see her spank her for good luck

As most of you dont know this - Ed and I and Missy are specialing a really nice male Aussie from Germany (Ed and I dont own him we are admiring supporters I guess you can say). This past weekend he took breed over 23 or so other Aussies and went on to get a Group 2 on Sat and a Group 1 on Sunday. Congrats to Missy and Ever for their achievements!!!
Missy has been showing several other breeds and doing well with them while she has been busy with all the BRTs so a belated congrats for all her wins and successes in other breed rings!!
(She and Ed are coming home for the next few weeks for R & R).
